Huion Kamvas 13 Best Drawing tablet with a screen for Beginners Alternative

Huion Kamvas 13 is slightly larger than the GAOMON PD1161 with a 13-inch screen. The screen features a reduced parallax view thanks to a fully laminated screen just like the PD1161.

Additionally, it features a 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution and  120% sRGB color gamut or color accuracy. This is perfect for digital art and even animation.

The screen has a textured feel that gives a pen-to-paper feel when drawing. To add to this it comes with a thin plastic protective film that protects it from damage.

Just like most other Huion pro tablets, you will get a professional-level battery-free pen with 8192 pen pressure levels. It also has +-60 tilt recognition for comfortable use.

XP Pen Artist 13.3 Pro Best Budget Drawing tablets with screen for Beginners 

XP Pen is another very affordable brand that will provide cheap but quality pen display tablets that you can use for drawing.

It is one of the Best beginner-friendly Drawing tablets with a screen that you can buy. 

Just like the Kamvas 13, it features a 13-inch screen although you can choose some smaller or larger alternatives depending on your budget.

For a very cheap price, you will get a great pen display tablet with a good battery-free stylus that you will not have to charge to use.

Additionally, the pen features 8192 pen pressure levels which is the standard plus +-60 tilt recognition. The XP Pen is a good tablet that will provide a great drawing experience.

 Unfortunately, it does not have a computer and must be connected to one to use.

Simbans Picasso Tab Best Standalone Drawing Tablet under 300$

If you are looking for an even cheaper standalone tablet with a screen, Simbans Picasso Tab is a great pick. 

What makes it the cheapest option is the fact that apart from being very cheap at slightly under 250$, you will also get a lot of freebies such as free artist gloves, a screen protector, and a universal charger set.

To add to this, as a digital artist, you will have a free copy of Autodesk sketchbook software preinstalled when you buy.

The features on the Simbanns Picasso are quite good, almost similar to the Samsung Galaxy S 6 lite. The screen is relatively large at 10 inches and 1280×800 pixels resolution HD display.

You will enjoy a natural feel when drawing thanks to its free active Picasso Stylus Pen with 1024 pen pressure levels. These pressure levels are low compared to the 8192 pen pressure levels on the Samsung S Pen. 

Overall, Simbanns Picasso is good for sketching but not the best when it comes to complicated digital art.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Tab S6 lite comes with incredible features that will perfectly execute your drawing needs.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite comes with an AMOLED 10.5 – inch screen that is perfect for displaying detailed colors with excellent contrast and with a high 2000×1200 screen resolution.

You will be able to run illustrator, Photoshop and many other drawing applications directly installed on this standalone tablet.

Yes, you heard it right, this tablet does not need a computer connected to use. Multi-tasking is also easy with a powerful processor and over 4 GB RAM.

Another great thing about this tablet is the industry standard S Pen that is found in larger more expensive tablets such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Ultra.

Overall this is a great premium tablet from a respected brand that will work perfectly for all your art needs for a very cheap price.

GAOMON PD1561 Large Screen Tablet

If you want a larger screen tablet than those reviewed here, another tablet from the GAOMON brand will solve this for you. 

The GAOMON PD1561 is a large 16-inch pen display tablet whose size is unmatched by any of the reviewed tablets here apart from the XP Pen large variation.

Despite the screen being bigger, it is not fully laminated which may cause display issues due to parallax and airbags forming in between screen layers.

Apart from the larger screen size however it is important to note that most features match up to the GAOMON PD1161. For example, they both come with GAOMON’S battery AP50 pen with 8192 pen pressure levels.

It features 10 free shortcut keys plus 2 additional keys on the pen making a total of 12. It also features tilt recognition and has a cool pen-like ergonomic design for comfortable use.
