How to make a logo in photoshop
Go to File then New and set the size you want. I will use 1000×1000 pixels and 300 dpi resolution. Click Shortcut U then click and hold on the highlighted tool and choose ellipse tool. Click and drag to draw a circle. Change to stroke instead of fill on top. Choose fill then choose the red crossed out no fill button. Go to stroke and choose black or any color you want.
Set stroke size to a thicker line. Click T on the keyboard to bring up the text tool. Click and choose the font then Type the logo initials . I will use Gotham Book. Click the top Layer thenholding shift click on the bottom layer. Click align tool on top to have the text at the center
To change the tracking go to Window >Character then adjust tracking for the text. With the ellipse layer selected, click T for text then click once on the ellipse to type text around. Click Edit Transform choose scale and set to 104% to get the text off the Circle.
With elipse layer selected, click Ctrl + J to duplicate it. Scale the new ellipse layer to be bigger than the first one. Finally change the outer text font to Gotham Black.
Go to File New and set the size. I will do 1000×1000 pixels again. Click U for the rectangle tool and Draw a rectangle. After that, change the fill to stroke and increase the thickness. Select type tool and type initials. I will use Gotham Bold font for inside text. Align everything to the center
Click T for text and type for the slogan and make sure everything is aligned. Click on the rectangle layer and select eraser then click the line on the word academy to erase it. It will pop up an error message, accept it. Carefully erase to the size of the word.
How to use a PNG in Photoshop
Shut off or delete the bottom background layer. After that go to file save as, choose PNG. Alternatively, after you shut off the bottom background layer, go to layer> flatten image. It creates a PNG on this layer.
